Je Tzong-k’a-pa
Publié en 1975
Livre
Documentaire
A brief exposition of the main points of the graded Sutra and Tantra courses to enlightenment. The first work is based on the lectures of Geshe Ngawang Dhargyey, a meditation master from Lhasa's Sera Monastic University and who teaches Dharma at the Library of Tibetan Works and Archives. It deals briefly with the life of Je Tzong-k’a-pa, the grat fourteenth century reformer who founded the Gelug tradition of Tibetan Buddhism, and is intended to seve as an introduction to English-speaking readers. The second part is a revised edition of a translation of Je Tzong-k’a-pa's "Lam-gyi rim-pa mdo tzam-du bstan-pa", a letter which he sent to one of his disciples explaining the two paths to enlightenment.

La Guerison Ultime - Le Pouvoir de La Compassion
Lama Zopa Rinpoche
Publié en 2004
Livre
Documentaire

A Daily Meditation on Shakyamuni Buddha - How to Meditate on the Graded Path to Enlightenment
Lama Zopa Rinpoche
Publié en 2008
Livre
Documentaire
A daily Meditation Practice. Lama Zopa Rinpoche specifically compiled A Daily Meditation on Shakyamuni Buddha for beginner Buddhist practitioners to use as the basis of a formal meditation practice. In this revised version, Rinpoche has reorganized some of the prayers and, in particular, has added an extensive explanation of the visualizations to be done while taking refuge. Drawn from Phabongkha Rinpoche's Liberation in the Palm of Your Hand, for each of the objects of refuge--Guru, Buddha, Dharma, and Sangha--there are visualizations for purifying negative karma, increasing qualities, and coming under the guidance of that object of refuge. Subtitled How to Meditate on the Graduated Path to Enlightenment, the practices contained in this booklet prepare the mind for lamrim meditation by purifying negative karma and collecting extensive merits--the two main causes for attaining the realizations of the path to enlightenment (renunciation, bodhichitta, and the right view of emptiness). Contents: - A motivation for doing the practice - Commonly recited verses for taking refuge and generating bodhichitta, for purifying the place, for invoking Guru Shakyamuni Buddha, and for blessing, multiplying, and presenting offerings - Prostrations with mantras - A visualization for taking refuge - A motivation for taking refuge - The extensive practice for taking refuge mentioned above - The four immeasurables - A bodhichitta motivation - Seven-limb prayer - A short mandala offering - Several requesting verses - A short lamrim prayer, The Foundation of All Good Qualities, by Lama Tsongkhapa - Recitation of Guru Shakyamuni Buddha's mantra - Absorption of Guru Shakyamuni Buddha - Dedications This practice can also be used as a basis for engaging in the preliminary practices of accumulating 100,000 prostrations, mandala offerings, and so forth.

Lama ChÖpa Jorcho
Jampal Lhundrup ; Losang Chokyi Gyaltsan
Publié en 2002
Livre
Documentaire
Copmbined Lama Chöpa and Jorchö. Lama Chopa is a practice of guru devotion special to the Gelugpa tradition of Tibetan Buddhism where we invoke all the lamas of the graduated path lineage beginning with Shakyamuni Buddha himself, extending to our present direct teachers who have shown us the path. The existence of the complete Buddhist path to enlightenment in our world depends solely upon those who have generated both the intellectual understanding of the teachings and the realizations of the path within their minds. Those who have done this are the lineage lamas. During this practice, we invoke all the lamas of the graduated path lineage beginning with Shakyamuni Buddha himself, extending to our present direct teachers who have shown us the path. We pay homage to them, make offerings, and request each of them to please bless our minds with the same realizations that they themselves have generated. By offering sincere, heartfelt requests, we make our minds ripe to receive the full blessings of this precious lineage and quickly actualize the realizations we need to attain enlightenment. If we wish to experience realizations quickly, the practice of Lama Chopa Jorcho is indispensable. "Practicing this Guru Puja [Lama Chöpa], which is an integration of the three deities, makes it much easier to achieve enlightenment in a brief life of this degenerated time. Doing this practice every day, with purification and many infinite skies of merit, brings the mind closer to the path to enlightenment and closer to enlightenment itself, and so much closer to freeing all sentient beings from obscurations and suffering and leading them to enlightenment. Putting the meaning of this into practice in ones life makes each day extremely rich and worthwhile." - Lama Zopa Rinpoche Note: the text is perfect-binding, not spiral bound, so it does not naturally sit flat on a table open to the page being used.

Les Etapes de La Voie Vers L'éveil - Volume 1: Les fondements
Gueshe Lhoundoub Sopa
Publié en 2012
Editions Vajra Yogini
618 p.
Livre
Documentaire

Enlightened Beings : Life Stories from the Ganden Oral Tradition
Willis Janice D
Publié en 1995
Livre
Documentaire
Here, for the first time in any Western language, are the sacred biographies of six great tantric meditators from the Gelukpa school of Tibetan Buddhism. These life stories - or namtar - are actually tales of liberation. Part of a distinct tradition in Tibetan Buddhism, they are meant not only to inspire but also to instruct others on the path to enlightenment. In Professor Willis's introduction and detailed annotations, you'll gain a wealth of information about how to read and interpret namtar texts, as well as some valuable insights into the religious and political worlds in which these early Tibetan masters studied, practiced, and became enlightened beings in their lifetimes.
