Chrujda se svými kamarádkami lasičkou Aničkou a sůvičkou Stáňou čelí úkladům hlavního záporňáka, tchoře Smradolfa. Tentokrát bojují proti křenu, který se vymkne kontrole a začne poroučet celému lesu. Naštěstí se mu postaví Chrujda a s pomocí nejnovějšího Stánina vynálezu dobro zvítězí a roztahovačný křen skončí jako pochutina. V Habřinci je zase klid a od té doby si Chrujda pamatuje, že kořen zla se musí vymýtit včas.
